Can you believe it’s already time for another Content Marketing World? In a couple of short weeks, Cleveland, Ohio will be gearing up for CMW 2013, and those in attendance are in store for the biggest and best content marketing event on the planet.
The conference, hosted by industry leaders the Content Marketing Institute, will boast a variety of speakers and events and will no doubt play a role in determining the future of content marketing over the next 12 months. Let’s jump right in and take a look at what’s on offer at Content Marketing World 2013.
Key speakers to watch
Who could put on a content marketing conference and not include Jay Baer as one of the key speakers? The author of The NOW Revolution and, most recently, Youtility is one of the most important voices in the world of content marketing today, and his views on the importance of marketing and social media have helped shape the way content is produced throughout the world. Boasting the number one content marketing resource in the form of his Convince and Convert blog, Baer will no doubt be sharing his thoughts on why smart marketing is about help, not hype.
William Shatner (aka Captain Kirk, aka T.J. Hooker, aka Denny Crane) is one name you likely never thought would be on the bill of a Content Marketing World event. The man famed more for his face and voice than marketing know-how will be the closing keynote at CMW 2013. Shatner will bring over 50 years of experience in the world of Hollywood to his talk and will no doubt be an intriguing listen if you are one of the lucky few in attendance.
And of course one of the highlights of every CMW will be Joe Pulizzi. The founder of the Content Marketing Institute will be delivering one of his killer keynotes on the latest annual research into content marketing. The content marketing industry has changed so much over the past year, so we’re really excited to see what sort of findings Joe has to offer.
Several other key public figures will be sharing their wisdom on everything from content strategy to how to overcome the deluge of poor content in today’s market. Some of the biggest names include Coca-Cola’s Jonathan Mildenhall, who oversees the soft drink behemoth’s marketing communication strategies, B2B marketing expert Adele Revella from the Buyer Persona Institute, and Lattice Engines content marketing manager Amanda Maksymiw.
Events you can’t afford to miss
Aside from the treasure trove of speakers who will take to the stage over the three-day conference, there are some excellent events lined up for those in the industry to network with their content marketing fellows.
- Opening night reception: CMW 2013 attendees will be able to network the night away in “rock star” style at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Conference-goers will also be able to check out some of the exhibits alongside fellow content marketing experts.
- A night on the town in Cleveland: On the second night of the conference, attendees will be able to take part in a hosted event at the famous House of Blues. In addition to food and drinks, a 1980s band will be the night’s entertainment and there will be a huge retro ’80s party to set the right mood for networking.
Content Marketing World 2013 is set to be the biggest ever. With such a wide variety of speakers ranging from content marketing experts to one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood, it’s clear that content marketing is more than just a passing phase – it’s here to stay.
